Class Trip to Local Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for Turtles
We are excited to announce an upcoming class trip to a local wildlife rehabilitation center for turtles! This educational excursion will offer us a unique opportunity to observe firsthand the important work being done to care for and rehabilitate these fascinating creatures.
Date and Time:
The trip is scheduled for April 20th from 3:00pm to 4:30pm immediately after class hours. Please make sure to arrive promptly at the designated meeting point at the track field to be picked up.
Location:
We will be visiting TURTLES UNLIMITED REHABILITATION CENTER, located at 39999 Sumner Lake Rd, Dade City. Be sure to plan your transportation accordingly.
Purpose:
During our visit, we will have the chance to learn about the various species of turtles native to our region, as well as the challenges they face in the wild. We will also gain insight into the rehabilitation process and the steps taken to release turtles back into their natural habitats.
Professionalism Policy:
While we are on the trip, it is important to remember that we are representing our school and our class. Please conduct yourselves with the utmost professionalism at all times. This includes being respectful to the staff and volunteers at the rehabilitation center, following any rules or guidelines provided to us, and refraining from disruptive behavior. All commands given by on location staff should be followed without question or suspect.
Confidentiality:
Due to the nature of the trip, it is imperative that we maintain confidentiality regarding our destination. Please refrain from discussing the specifics of the trip with anyone outside of our class. This is to ensure the safety and security of the wildlife at the center and the animals at the exibits. If anyone is informed of the trips exact whereabouts this end of year treat will unfortunately be cancelled.
Permission Slips:
Unlike our usual class trips, permission slips are not required for this excursion. However, it is essential that all students understand the importance of keeping our destination confidential. Rest easy and show up ready to go for this all expenses paid trip!
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking.
- Sunscreen and hats for sun protection
- Water bottles to stay hydrated
Any and all technological devices will be collected before entrance to maintain compnay and wildlife confidentiality, so if you wish to not hand them over simply dont bring any.
